Blue Mountain Lavender Farm’s fields transform dramatically from green to purple every June as the fragrant lavender begins to bloom. The Grimaud family, originally from France, established the farm in 2000 in Lowden, just a short distance southwest of Walla Walla.
The best time to see the valley and mountains and wander among the fields is early June through mid-July. Crafting classes, a souvenir shop, and u-picks are also available.

You can burn off some calories you will take while dining and drinking by engaging in golf, water sports, fishing, horseback riding, or cycling. More than 20 miles of leisure paths allow for hiking around Walla Walla, and they take hikers through grasslands, past creek beds, and the lake, and along the dam built in 1942 to control flooding.
